Sometimes, an author's only desire is to make the reader laugh. Other times, it is to make them think in a unique way. Regardless, the books here have made me giggle in expected and unexpected ways and along the way, made life a little bit brighter! :)

The illustrations in this book are what make it so great! They add to the humorous tone and explain some of the "lies." I would definitely recommend this book to children who are interested in communicating through art. The illustrations show how drawings can convey meaning and humor while appealing to adults and children, which is no small feat. Many of the sayings I did not hear of or I had heard different versions, but I do believe that children around 9 - 13 will think this is hilarious. It is a quick read and can add a bright spot to your day.
